Hi,

We are planning to buy a new solution only 500 MHz NMR with VT accessory and auto-sampler, since our old JEOL 400 MHz instrument, though is working, may soon "die".

Since the power situation in this part of the world is not very good, we ought to have a UPS installed for the entire spectrmeter. My question is whether it is technically OK to instal a UPS for the scroll air-cmpressor & dryer? I understand that the inductive load will demand a high capacity compressor. The manufacturers have suggested to go in for a buffer tank (Receiver) of capacity 200 liters if the UPS is not fitting into the budget. This, according to them will give a "back-up" of air flow for 10-15 minutes. I would like to get your valuable comments from all of you who might have come across such a situation.
