We have been running our Bruker Avance DRX-600 with attached O2 for 4-5
years with no problems. We have always had two ethernet connections; one to
spect and the other to the lab. I might recommend looking at the ec0 and
ec1 connections; although, from the discussion it appears likely to be a
memory problem. However, we have been using mixed SGI memory and Kingston
memory with no problems.
Good luck.

Hello,
I have the same problem with my spectrometers (Avance 400-500 and O2).
I don't find any solution because the crashes are not similar and
unpredictable.
I asked to Bruker without results.
I use the same protocol as Sandip.
May be it could be a network problem but I don't know if your spectrometers
are in network too.
Best regards

Hi Guillermo,
We have a very similar system (Avance 400 and O2) which used to crash more
often than it does now. I have not been able to figure that out. I
looked at this problem from many angles, pinpointed the time of crash from
instrument log and reservation log, checked other x-window
processes, large data transfer but I could not take any step to prevent it
from happening again. It still happens, but very rarely - once in every
2 -3 months. When it crashes, you can not log in to the computer remotely
to boot it up. You have to turn the system off and turn it back on to
restart.
Nothing to help you though,
Best wishes,
Sandip
