One similar problem that I had was resolved, when I found out that some of
the data files had 0 bytes(which gave an error on ftp or even rcp), and I
deleted these with no problems thereafter. If you have a lot of files you
can use the command,
"find /source -size 0" and then delete the ones found. For some reason, we
don't understand, empty files will appear in a data set(on our DRX and AMX).

Subject: data transfer problems
Dear members:
I am having problems FTPing data from my Bruker spectrometers
(Bruker ASX200 with an Aspectstation and Bruker AMX-500 with an
X32) to my PCs (windows NT) using WSFTP. There are always
errors after several minutes of happy data transfer which
discontinue the transfer. The network lines are on coax cable
however the cable runs very close to the magnets and is in the same
conduit as the transmitter cables from the ASX-200. My question is
whether or not the magnetic field or the RF could be causing the
problem. Have any of you had similar problems or am I barking up
the wrong tree.
