Spinning problems

Most of the time I find the spin problem due to the gunk
transferred from the spinner to the inside of the lower
stack. With the probe out, a long stick with wet (mild
solvent) wipes at the end should be able clean it with
no need to remove the stacks. If you have to drop the
lower stack plug up the bottom whole (with a rubber stopper
or something like that) before attending to cleaning problems.
Also watch for the air-line O-ring which may come off and drop
on the floor. The three long screws at the top of the stack
are asymmetrically placed ( atleast in older magnets) and hence
allignment should not be a problem. Of course the top of the
magnet should be plugged up when working on these screws. If
I am doing it for the first time I may give a call to Mr. Henry
Luhris of Bruker to watch for problems specific to my magnet.

Since we are in the general topic involving cleaning I may
throw in a question. How do you keep the keyboard clean?
Is there a protective plastic cover for Cherry keyboard used
by the old Bruker AM/AC systems?
