I agree with Jane and all others . It helps to have a helper to remove
and install the shim coils.To clean, I use alcohol wipes. Also put a
little alcohol in the jets and blow clean air thru the channels.
Indexing the shim housing with tape is a good idea also.
On another note, I ruined the broadband channel on our 5mm inverse probe
by not checking closely what solvent was really in the bottle. It was
METHYLENE CHLORIDE!!! It glues everything together that was not metal.
Cant trust the squirt bottles. Good thing I have an understanding
chairperson. I still havent got it back from Bruker. Cant wait for the
bill.
By the way I called Siemens Xray service (Wisconsin) and they answered
"BRUKER". How about that.
