--> We've used these in our lab in the past ( . . when a nearby facilities
room would flood into our space from time to time. Thankfully that is all
cleared up now tho').

--> iMonnit is nice for us b/c they provide ready access to sensor data on
line (with history) and send receive automated texts / phone calls . . in
this case when water is detected. Not sure how well this would work wrt
your wifi requirements, but the sensors do come in different configurations.
    You can also tie in different environmental sensors to create a community
    of sensors (temp / humidity, etc.).
