Dear NMR Colleagues,

We use replacement o-rings from McMaster-Carr. We have not worn out any blue
spinners in 6 years of use on the SampleXpress automation system. We never
have problems with spinners, but we clean them with ethanol once in a while.

Part number 1283N198
https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/127/3796
Easier to just search for the part number on their web page.

High-Temperature Silicone O-Ring, 1/8 Fractional Width, Dash Number 203
ID - 5/16 inches - 0.296 inches
OD - 9/16 inches - 0.574 inches
Packs of 25 for $5.09

We also have a soft pad on the floor under the spinner area. It dramatically cuts
the loss of spinners due to dropping on a tile floor.

We run about 150 samples per day and keep out in the lab a complement of 60 spinners
- cassette capacity.

Dean
