Dear All,
Our host PC for our Bruker Avance system has had to be retired.
I have loaded all the necessaries on to a replacement PC and contacted Bruker about the XWIN-NMR licence.
They quoted me $300 to transfer the licence to the new computer.
It might not seem a lot of money but I'm really reluctant to fork out the cash especially when the original purchase included three licences, two of which we have not been able to use since (for various reasons) the host PC is not on a network.
Is the $300 charge usual practice?
On the new PC on our Avance, XWIN-NMR is running on the "service" licence and so far it seems adequate. Has any one else run their spectrometer on the service licence long-term? Are there any drawbacks?
Thanks,
Julie
