Dear all,
I have a puzzler for those of you who are familiar with Varian software.
We recently took H1 spectra of a sample that also contained P31. We
wished to take spectra with and without broadband decoupling of P31
and subtract them to look for differences. We did this by setting
dsp='i'
oversamp=62
dm='nnn','nny'.
When processed using a normal FT, the spectra are fine. When
linear prediction is used in the processing, the first spectrum is
a perfect horizontal line. The second spectrum is fine. When
the dm array is reversed, the first spectrum is still the blank one.
I'd love to send the customers packing and debug this, but
can't justify instrument time do any more tests right now.
Any ideas on what is happening here?
Practically, we have solved our analysis problem by taking spectra
in separate experiments and subtracting them. I'd just like to avoid
future troubles.
Thanks in advance,
Bill Kearney
