File transfer from a 1280

We have been using the Tecmag FILTRN program to move files off the 1280
computers in our QE's. I have recently upgraded one of our mac's from a
Centris to a PowerPC 7100. Now when I try to transfer the files the
PowerPC locks up. The line is good because I can send a message from the
PowerPC to the 1280 with no problem. I really don't want to give up this
PowerPC but if I can't move file, it is of no use to me.

The Mac had the following message "message: 1st secs recieved"
The QE gave the following Error #12 BKGRD File transfer local error-use TS
command.

The TS command say it timed out transfer aborted.

Is it possible there is a timing problem between the 1280 and the PowerPC?
The Baud rate is set to 19200.
