Hi AMMRL Users-
I wanted to ask the list to describe the aftermath when a superconducting
magnet quenches due to running out of cryogens.
Were you able to bring the magnet back into operation after the quench without
it having been damaged?
Everyone is experiencing issues getting liquid helium right now, and the cost
to do a proper magnet shutdown is a problem. Should we consider just letting
the magnet run dry and quench itself?
Thanks for your input.
Regards,
Chuck
