We are looking to borrow a charging rod for a Magnex 600/54/AS magnet.

We have decided to de-energize the magnet until such time that funding for a new console is available to replace the DRX-600 console.

The ID plate on the Magnex magnet has the following information:

Current: 173 A
600/54/AS
4708 (08 crossed out and written over with 19)
Voltage: 5V
Freq: DC

We have the magnet book, and it shows a signoff on July 2, 2001, and a system number C4719.

There is no charging rod. We have what appears to be an identical Magnex 600 magnet in the Chemistry department, but we can find no charging rod there either. Apparently it was Bruker's policy at that time not to leave a charging rod with the customer.

We would like to "gently" de-energize the magnet, but we would need a charging rod and a diode / heat sink. Anyone who could lend us the charging rod would be greatly appreciated.
