Hi everyone,
I would like to thank Victor, Borlan, Sameer, Benjamin, Richard, Jerry, Rajan, Michael, Todd, Sophia, Philip, Markus, Tony and Colin for your very quick replies!

Here is the summary:
- First of all, the adaptor we looked for is named a "Pump-Out" adaptor.
- You can pump your transfer line yourself as long as you have the required pump, know the procedure and have the pump-out adaptor. Look for physic department; they may be able to do it.
- Basically, Cryofab seems to be the favorite for fixing transfer lines and at a very reasonable price.
- One can buy the pump-out operator from Cryofab but be careful it may or may not work with your transfer line.
- The pump-out tool can be bought from Cryofab at http://www.earthspecweb.com/misc/cryofab/html/stand_5e.htm
- Companies selling and/or repairing transfer lines and/or selling pump-out operators include:
http://www.iceoxford.com/Repairs.htm
http://www.precisioncryo.com/operators.html
http://www.cryofab.com/products/cryogenic-transfer-lines/liquid-helium-transfer-line-CFHT
- Cryotherm (the OEM) in Germany sells transfer lines at a price almost half what Bruker is asking.
- Someone mentioned the Messer company but they sold their business to a German company.

At any rate, my colleague dicided to send his transfer line to Cryofab. They fixed it for less than a couple hundred dollars (cheaper than the shipping of the line itself!). They did not detect any leak. Let's hope it'll work for a long time now.
As for the pump-out operator from Cryofab, in our case, we would have to modified the transfer line valve itself (which is what Cryofab did in the end with my colleague's line, apparently).
Thanks again for all the replies!
See you at the ENC AMMRL meeting.
Kind regards,
Genevieve
