Dear all,

I recently converted our 3 mm Varian IFC probe from flow mode to 3 mm
tube mode and tried to calibrate the probe. We have got a 3 mm turbine
previously but never used it. To my surprise, the 3 mm turbine refuses
to spin. As a test, I put a 5 mm tube in our normal 5 mm turbine but
does not extend the tube out of the bottom of the turbine (to prevent
the 5 mm tube entering the 3 mm probe), insert it, and spinning very
well. Looks like I have a bad 3 mm turbine. I see it somewhere that
there are insert for 5 mm turbine to be used as a 3 mm turbine, but I
could find it anywhere now. Does anyone know where we can buy such an
adaptor so that we can use our good 5 mm turbine to work with 3 mm
tubes?

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Wei Li
