Thank you for all the suggestions. I'll highlight two things that were
particularly helpful.
Our AVIII has undergone numerous TopSpin updates, and apparently sometimes
the edlock table can get corrupted/wonky/bugged... Essentially the MeOD entry
looked perfect, but wasn't working correctly. The solution was the create
a new duplicate MeOD entry in the edlock table and delete the old one. No
parameters were changed, but suddenly it worked perfectly.
The other suggestion was to do a lock field calibration. Using the Sucrose
standard (locked and shimmed) go into ha and the ELCB. Go to Calibration and
then Auto Lock H0 Calibration. With the Sucrose standard loaded, locked and
shimmed, choose Start H0 Calibration. The process takes under 10 minutes.
This didn't help on MeOD issue on the 600Mhz AVIII, but it did improve MeOD
locking on our older AVII 500Mhz.
