Dear Colleagues,
We are considering moving an ECS-400 spectrometer to the new research building, located about 150 m from the current location. JEOL engineer can de-energize the magnet, prepare the system for transport, and then reinstall and reenergize in the new lab. We need to hire local movers for transporting the magnet and the console. However, we are afraid they may damage the magnet during that short transit. My question is, has anyone in this country tried to purchase some kind of insurance for such endeavor?
Thank you very much,
