Dear Colleagues,
After some efforts, the problem is still unsolved. The main points are summarized in this follow-up.
1, I run unlocked 1H experiments on a Bruker AV HD400. It is just straightforward and successful. This shows that our problem is not possibly due to experimental setup.
2, the unlock problem is showed in the attachment plot of 1H using zg2d. Eight 1H spectra are acquired with ns=1 and d20=300s. Although the sweep is off, sweep amplitude is 0, the residual(?) sweep wiggle is clear. The singlet moves around randomly, and apparently it is not due to magnetic shift ; and nor the drift compensation, which is set to 0.
3, the command “lock off” or” lock none” is executed, but the problem unchanged.
4, the problem is unchanged with unplug of the cables of VT, gradient or air flow tube.
Finally thank you all for the nice replies and suggestions.

主题: AMMRL: Bruker how to turn off lock completely
Dear colleagues,
Turning off the lock seems a trivial issue. Sadly I could not run a spectrum unlocked successfully on my AV 500, which is topspin 2.0 and comes along a BSMS keyboard.
The following is what I do:
First, I collect one routine 1H spectrum with the lock on using the 1H line shape sample, and it looks fine;
Second in the ACQUPARS menu set LOCNUC = off; on the BSMS keyboard turn off the LOCK ON, and stop the SWEEP. Both LOCKON and SWEEP lights are off. The lock line in the LOCKDISP goes down to the bottom but still scans back and forth.
Third I collect again a 1H spectrum unlocked. If NS=1 the spectrum looks fine; NS>1 then multiple peaks show up for the singlet of CHCl3. It seems to me that the lock is off but the sweep function still works. Disconnecting the lock cable doesn’t help.
Forth I open the BSMS Control Suite and try to turn off the LOCKON and SWEEP there, but it doesn’t help.
Finally I run a similar 1H spectrum unlocked on a Varian MR400 and it works easily and successfully.
I appreciate your help and look forward to your solutions or suggestions.
