Position Summary: Serves as departmental NMR expert.
Acquires solution & solid NMR data and aids researchers in interpretation of
NMR results.
Trains users to conduct NMR experiments.
Monitors and maintains departmental NMR equipment.
Directs efforts to develop the structural biology area.
Participates in the development of research proposals.

Required Qualifications: Experience operating an NMR service facility in
industry, government, or academia.
Knowledge of organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, structural biology and
modern NMR methods.
Skill in the use of NMR processing and prediction software and in the
interpretation of NMR spectra.
Ability to communicate with a diverse clientele, including students for whom
English is not a first language.
Experience in Linux system administration.

Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in an NMR related field with courses in
spectral interpretation, modern NMR techniques, and electronics.
