Hello All,
I am interested to know whether there are any clever ideas for managing
large lists of users in IconNMR.
In our environment, we have multiple systems running similar IconNMR
configurations in Automation, all the time. We have a large group of
users who need to be able to use any system. Constantly updating each
system's user list through the tools provided is arduous. Instead, we
maintain a single list, properly formatted, and copy this list into
individual system's .inmrusers file periodically. Then, we go into
IconNMR's configuration tool and "Save" new users with proper settings
to create the individual files. (I suppose I could offer more detail if
this description is not clear enough.)
Are there other administrators out there who have developed more clever
ways of doing this? Can anyone share good suggestions? Has anyone
tried a single network-mounted instance of .inmrusers, with shortcuts
from individual host computers?
Ideas are welcome.
Thanks,
Patrick Wheeler
