With NEO console, the data amplitude may be changed per NC (number of cycle
if dtypa is integer. If the data were acquired with States-TPPI, the phases
of the every 3rd and 4th FIDs are changed by 180 degree. I think addser
cannot handle them.
My mergeser can combine 2D, 3D and NUS data for 2D and 3D (aqseq = 321 or 312).
The acquisition mode may be States or States-TPPI.

For what it's worth: We were running a lot of 3D solid state experiments and
did not want to have to run for 1-2 weeks straight in case of instrument issues.
We used edc2 and addser to combine smaller blocks of data. Basically, we queued
up 4 or more identical 3D NUS experiments with ns = 128 scans or 256. After
completion, each "block" is checked for issues and if none present, edc2 is used
to set which is the second data set and addser adds them together (must be identical).
