Subject: INOVA console/Data Acquisition Board troubles
We have been reseating/swapping Data Acquistion Boards and the chips on the
boards for our 4 INOVA (1996 vintage) instruments for some time now. Up
until now we have been able to keep all four INOVAs running fairly
reliably. Last week, however, we reached the end of success for our
reseating/swapping/reseating chips routine and one of the DAC boards no
longer works for more that one short experiment after rebooting the console.
A number of questions:
Have any of you had similar experiences and how have you solved this problem?
Does anyone have a spare DAC board around that we can use or buy? assy
number on board is 01902010 sch number is 01902013.
Lastly, even with problems like this the INOVAs we are using certainly beat
the UNITY systems that we still maintain and use. We are interested in
upgrading the UNITYs so if anyone has a retired INOVA console or is
planning to retire a console we would be interested in purchasing said
instrument. We are looking to replace two 500 consoles and one 400 console.
Thanks for any help!
