NMR Technical Support Position Available University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA

The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is establishing a Center
for Structural Biology with a large component of NMR spectroscopy. The
Center will include several high-resolution and solid-state instruments
from 600, 700, 800 to 900MHz. All machines will be equipped with
cryo-probes. Two high-resolution 600MHz instruments have already been
installed and the other instruments will be delivered in mid 2005. The
technical person will be responsible for maintenance of the two 600 MHz
instruments; it is anticipated that this individual may also play a key
role in the expanded Center. Applicants must have a PhD and demonstrated
bio-molecular protein NMR experience, in particular the ability to maintain
and operate instruments, including cryogen refilling, acquisition and
analysis of multi-dimensional NMR data, design and implementation of NMR
pulse sequences. Qualified candidates should also demonstrate strong
interest and capabilities in training users and collaborating on research
