I agree with Dick. But I'd publicize any correction made to literature
data. This is not a private collection once used in the program. People
should be able to check data that is in there and the way to do that
with sufficient background is to have assignment data and that is in my
opinion only possible if it is publicized with all relevant details.
One way is to put it on the web in some form until maybe collections can
be made of groups of data with common mistakes. These could then
formally be reported into the literature.
