Hi Folks,
Hope you don't mind me reaching out to y'all. I was wondering if anyone has successfully set up a XP virtual machine using VMware to run an AVANCE spectrometer. The computer on our solid-state spectrometer ca. Windows 2000 has died and I was looking to replace it. I figure the most obvious route is to purchase a refurbished XP computer (one step up from Windows 2000) but I was hoping to use a Windows 10 computer with an XP environment. We've gotten pretty far (TopSpin 2.0 is running) but I can't get the computer to communicate with the NMR.
Has anyone been successful at this? Any advice would be very much appreciated.
