Hello,

I just wondered if anyone might have any old boards from a Varian XL/VXR-200
or300 (circa 1988)? I'm pretty sure that my Broadband Transmitter Board
(Part# 00-949930-00) has bitten the dust. My book shows the same part
number for the VXR 200 and the VXR-300, so either one should work.

My lock channel and decoupler are both working fine, so I'm pretty sure that
all of the signals coming from the Master Clock are good. The PTS is
putting out the correct frequencies, but the transmitter board is basically
blasting out broadband noise instead of coherent Rf.

I have already ordered a new instrument to replace this one (An Avance-III
300), but I was hoping to keep this alive until the new instrument arrives
late this Spring. Obviously, I don't want to throw any more money at this
beast.

Anybody who might have an old board that I could try, I'll pay for shipping
(ok, I'll throw a little money at it :o).

Thanks in advance,

-Rich Shoemaker
