Hi Jim,
I have a protocol set up to transfer and backup nmr folder to a PC by each
NMR user:
1) remove all processed data using the find and rm command. We use a
script to do that.
2) tar nmr
3) gzip nmr.tar (drop this step for smal size)
4) FTP nmr.tar.gz to the PC through network
5) unzip the data
6) write both gzip file and unzipped nmr folder to a R-CD.
7) Check nmr data on the CD using nuts or MestRec
8) Compare nmr files between O2 and on CD
9) delete tar, zip and nmr folder from O2
10) create nmr folder on O2
Is there any better way to accomplice this backup.
Also, I don't know how popular is RW-CD disk since R-CD is so cheap.
I will be interested in any thought we get.
