Dear all:

 

I hope those of you who have been involved in previous discussions about
light rail trains and NMR labs in the past in this forum will bear with this
posting.  Our facility is located in the front of a building under the
ground a few feet.  We are less than 50 feet from a street that is the
likely location of a new DC powered, light rail train.  Our lab is equipped
with seven magnets ranging from 500-800 MHz (4 unshielded including an
unshielded Oxford 800 MHz).  Does anyone have any good information to
contribute about their experiences with light rail trains and their NMR lab?
We have been discussing this issue with the experts at Bruker and Varian who
have been very helpful, but any other examples we can add might help our
case.  We are meeting with the light rail experts on Monday and hoping for
the best.
