Re: Replacements for Pinnacle Micro Apex MO Drives

Dear AMMRLers

I have used a 1.3 GByte Pinnacle Drive since 1994. We had hardware
problems with it when it was very close to the end of warranty (days short
of it, actually). Pinnacle fixed it as a warranty job and it has been fine
ever since. It is probably based on the same drive as the jukebox that
Kurt Wollenberg has. I obviously don't have to deal with the jukebox
software. I have many individual users with their own disks and experience
amazingly few problems. We mount it on a system with Irix 5.3 and NFS mount
it on both 5.3 and 6.3. There are a few minor details that make this work,
but no special software. I hope we continue to have good luck with it.
The message below makes me a little nervous.
