Hi everyone,
Here at NANUC we're just finishing the installation of a new Varian
narrow bore solids probe. Solids NMR is a very new domain for most of
us here at NANUC, it is another investigator who has purchased the
probe for the 800MHz. I've never seen a probe be tuned to so many
different nucei in such a short period. With the low gyromagnetic
option there were more changes in transmitter nuclei in the past 12
hours than all of last year. During one tuning and matching procedure
there was a miscommunication from the individual at the host computer
and the person at the tune interface. An error message appeared
stating 'Unable to setup system in tune mode'. Since then we seem to
be seeing either no response or a very unstable response from the tune
interface. Could something within the tune interface been damaged?
