Building Design Question

Hello --

We're about to build a new physical-sciences building with space for an NMR
lab, and are thinking about the spacing between floors. Say on the ground
floor there's a 500-MHz NMR. How far above the ground floor should the
second floor be? We have manufacturers' specs about the distance needed for
magnet installation, fills, & so forth; but info seems to be scarce about
the *vertical* extent of the magnetic field. To be conservative, assume the
magnet is unshielded.

-- thanks --
