In summary of the question I posted yesterday, it appears that as long
as you have a 100W proton amp (BLAH100) and a 300W X nucleus amp
(BLAX300), and the proper probe, that is really all you need for an
Avance console to do CPMAS. Other items which obviously come in handy
would be a spin rate controller, pneumatic sample changer, etc. The
100/300 amplifier pair do not come as standard equipment on a 300 MHz
Avance liquids console, although the BLAX300 is standard on higher
field consoles (e.g 500, 750, etc).

I would like to thank the following people who provided very helpful
responses:
Paul VanTilborg, Jack M. Miller, Joanna R. Long, John Harwood, Chris
Hudalla, Elwood Brooks, David Kiemle, and Linda Okerlund.
