Hello,

I've been asked to post this to AMMRL. I would much appreciate you
forwarding the following information on to any potential candidates.
Interested parties should contact Professor Celia Schiffer.
Thank you.

POSTDOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE

Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology
University of Massachusetts Medical School

Our laboratory studies changes in substrate specificity both in vivo and
in vitro correlated with drug resistance in HIV-1 protease using
biochemical and biophysical techniques. Research is in collaboration
with clinical and molecular virology as well as computational chemistry
groups. Techniques include protein crystallography, molecular biology,
enzyme kinetics, isothermal titration and differential scanning
calorimetry, molecular dynamics, genomic sequence analysis and NMR.
Candidates with a background in molecular dynamics of proteins
(experience with AMBER or GROMOS), enzyme kinetics, protein
crystallography or structural protein NMR (experience with Varian
INOVA600) are especially encouraged to apply. Opportunity to learn
protein expression, purification, crystallography and protein structural
analysis will exist as part of the position. Three separate
postdoctoral positions are currently open.

For further information please contact or to apply please send CV and
arrange for three letters of reference.
