I was just discussing this string with Johnny Decesare from Bruker and he
gave me some very useful information to pass on. He said that, depending on
magnet type, there should be two aluminum bore tubes and one copper bore
tube. In addition, if it is a flat bottom, the base should be aluminum. He
also said the He and N2 cans are aluminum. The combinations of these could
bring a fair chunk of change (50-75$, "enough for a keg") if you were to
part it out and bring it to a recycler.
