superconducting wire salvage

We were about to trash our old 100 Mhz supercon magnet, I think it was a WP100, cause
no one has use for such dinosaurs any more, but someone brought up the possibility
of salvaging the superconducting wire in it. Any one had any experience with this.
Is it really worth it.
