Friends,
I wanted to reach out to take a non-scientific survey of what you're paying for liquid helium at your institution currently (meaning in fall 2015). *Please* let me know whether or not your institution has a liquefaction installation, when giving the price.
At a recent meeting, we were astonished to hear prices ranging from $9 - $30/liter for those who don't re-liquify, with prices as low as $2.50/liter to those who do.
This is for informational purposes only and will help me in writing a report for a committee working on issues about the He supply.
Thanks, in advance,
Sophia Hayes
