Thank you, Bill Stevens and Steve Silber for the answer, which is NO! One cannot connect a Remote Status Indicator to a MercuryPlus console.

Subject: AMMRL: Remote Status Indicator

Hey Spinlanders,
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to connect a Remote Status Indicator taken from a Varian Inova onto a Varian Mercury Plus console? The connector on the back of the Inova is labeled "Remote Status Indicator". The Mercury Plus has the same size SCSI connector, but it is labeled "SCSI Interface" and has different locking ears. I can overcome the locking ear difference, but should I even bother to try connecting them?
Thanks in advance, -Hirsch
