I am looking for a candidate in the field of NMR/NQR research field. Can you

If not, do you know anyone who does? The reason I am asking is that I have a
positions open in San Diego, CA for the following position:
NMR/NQR Research Scientist - PhD required in NMR or NQR related field with a
significant amount of hands on hardware experience. Primary duty is research
in the field of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) nuclear quadrupole
resonance (NQR). This includes NQR research for explosives detection in
landmine detection and airline security. Specific research areas include
system development, pulse sequence and signal processing development,
characterization of NMR/NQR properties, and the simulation and theoretical
description of NQR/NMR experiments. Duties include management of research
teams, performing independent and directed research, documenting and
reporting results, laboratory and field testing prototype systems,
evaluating feasibility and merit of proposed research concepts, developing
an understand of how to evaluate the commercial viability of proposed
innovations, and preparing and submitting research proposals. Must have
expertise in one or more of the following: 1. NMR/NQR instrumentation
design, fabrication and use. 2. Development of application-specific pulse
sequences. 3. Theoretical description and simulation NMR or NQR phenomena.
4. Signal processing 5. Computer programming. Experience running research
and development projects and leading the efforts of other scientists and/or
engineers is a plus.
As you can guess, it has not been easy to fill. To make things more
difficult, the project is at a stage where the candidate must be a US
citizen/Green Cardholder. It is not a destructive device, if that is the
question in your mind. Please let me know if you can be of any help. I can
offer a finders fee for anyone who can lead to an acceptable candidate.
