Hybrid vigor?

We've married a Varian VXR-400S console to an Oxford 400-89 magnet with
Bruker shims and probe. They seem to be getting along fairly well.
CHCl3 0.55% is around 10 Hz, 50% 0.4 Hz, and spinning side bands are < 1 %.
The SSB are unusual tho because although they start at the right frequency,
they both extend to lower frequencies (to the right) and are about 10 Hz
at half height with a spike at the spin rate.

Does anyone know the force(s) that could create SSB with an asymmetric
distribution? The main peak is symmetric.

Are there any other multi-vendor machines collecting data? I'd love to
exchange war stories.

Does anyone have a surplus set of room temp shims for an Oxford 400-89?
It might help to have more than 12 gradients to play with.

thanks,
