I forgot to mention that we use the sample-draw version of the PureAire, which
uses a small pump that can suck air through up to 100ft of tygon hose. This
costs a lot more (it was a lot cheaper when we bought it) but gives great
versatility in terms of placement and makes relocating the sniffer end easy.
Our monitor is placed outside of NMR area allowing one to see the O2 level
without entering the room. It is plugged into an inexpensive UPS to cover our
frequent power outages. It is also wired to a flashing light to warn the deaf,
and connected to our building alarm system, which will also turn on exhaust
fans as needed.

Our PureAire has been working for more than 10 years. It has been passing
all tests and has not been giving any errors, warnings or mis-readings.
Nevertheless, we will be sending it back for recalibration because it we were
informed by our Safety people that it is time to do so.
Our facility now uses them in multiple other applications.
