Hi Spinlanders
It's been ages since I had any interaction with a Varian system (the
fact that I am gravitating to Varian instead of Agilent should tell you
how long ago ) but I wanted to step up recently to help a colleague in my
university who has an Agilent DD2 system.
The problem he noticed looks addressable on the face of it based on
the symptoms and so I felt encouraged to take a look i.e. the tune program
shows pretty much a noisy pattern for either 1H or 13C but when I pulled
the probe out and tuned it on the bench with my network analyzer, the
probehead tunes beautifully.
My problem is my rusty knowledge of the architecture to further
troubleshoot (though I will hazard a guess that things haven't changed
drastically from the INOVA days as far as the basic principle of operation
of the console is concerned). Nevertheless I am eager to help these
folks.

   - To get some momentum, I installed the OpenVNMRJ version on a CentOS 7
Virtual box and managed to start the same. But it unceremenously crashed on
me giving this following cryptic window of error :

   -
   - Does this look familiar to the Agilent experts in this group ? Can
you give me any pointers ? I did run the /vnmr/bin/ovjDiag script and it
   didn't do anything of substance.
   - Second, is there any PDF documentation about the Agilent systems i.e.
DD2 that gives technical information about the console, that will allow me
to address the problem from the hardware side ?

Without taking more of your time, I remain very grateful for any help you
can extend, as always.

Best Regards
Rajan
