I have an Avance II running on Linux using ICONNMR in Topspin 2.0 pl 5. I
have a major issue with crashing the software using ICONNMR: I select
"customize all parameters" and go through Topspin while another sample has
just started running and I click "Return to ICONNMR". Topspin freezes as a
blue or grey screen and I can't type anything there: ICONNMR says it is
waiting for the Return to ICONNMR command. I have to open a terminal and
kill the program. It happens only if you click the "return to ICONNMR
button" when the system is switching say from temperature to ATM, ATM to
lock, lock to shim, shim to acquire-4 shots to crash it per sample. As we
increase users and samples, we happen to click at the wrong moment more and
more often.
I've put the most popular commands into the ICONNMR shortcut, but we run
many special experiments and crash the system fairly regularly. Has anyone
else experienced this problem and come up with a fix? Or is anyone running
a different patchlevel and does not have this problem? I haven't been able
to replicate it on a windows system but can crash my linux system any time I
want.
Thanks,
Kim
