file transfer Bruker Aspect 3000 / PC (Windows or Linux)

We still operate two Bruker AC spectrometers with Aspect 3000 computers.
So far, our files are transfered "manually", using NMRlink, but I'm
wondering if there is any more convenient solution. I guess it cannot be
avoided to conserve an old PC as a transfer station, but is there any
way (other than NMRlink) to use a cronjob-like routine for the data
transfer? Maybe I am the only one still using those old systems, but if
anybody has a Windows or LINUX based work-around for this quite
inconvenient bottleneck, I would be very grateful for suggestions.

Thank you very much in advance,

Nils
