AOpen CD-RW burner,compatibility with Sun Solaris

Hi All,
 We recently purchased a CD-RW burner, the model is AOpen CRW5232, it has an
E-IDE interface. Our NMR system(VNMR 6.1c) is based on Sun Solaris 9. I am
just wondering if this CD-RW burner can be installed to this unix system? I
checked the specs of this burner, it seems that the compatibility is only
with PC. Does someone in this group have experience of this CD-RW burner? If
this CD-RW burner is not compatible with Sun solaris(or unix), can you
recommend one compatible CD-RW burner?

 This CD-RW burner doesn't come with any CD burning software, does someone
know if Sun Solaris 9 has some CD burning software available inside, if not,
which kind of CD burning software can be used at this system?
