Spinlanders;
$2495.00 for one operator chair! That's more than our entire furniture
budget for the last 5 years.
Most systems can handle small amounts of iron. The older unshielded larger
field systems are most likely to have issues ... mostly affecting lineshape.
For extremely hazardous high field rooms (500Mhz or higher unshielded) this
expense could be justified. If you shop arround you can find very nice cast
aluminum executive style upolstered chairs for under $400. Most do however
have a steel post and bracket under the seat. They are to be had with
aluminum or non-magnetic stainless steel post parts. They would be found in
high-end designer catalogs. Many architects and interior designers demand
stainless steel furniture simply for aesthetics.
The potential for 2.5 $K a chair will usually motivate any interior designer
to search far and wide for the perfect spinlander seat ... therefore more
choices.
Magnotix does however provide labs where cost is not an issue a viable
guaranteed iron free selection.

> Subject: Non-magnetic chair source
Dear Readers,
Occasionally there has been a discussion thread about non-magnetic chairs.
Recently we had a need for a high-quality, height-adjustable, upholstered,
100% non-magnetic operator chair with castors, i.e. not a plastic lawn chair
or wooden student chair.
I just wanted to point out to the AMMRL that we found a source:
