I see from the Salary & Employment Survey in the C&EN I received today that
our previous salary numbers from 2001 are reasonably reconciled if we take
the mean income reported and multiply by 1.05 twice to give $65,000.
In the public sector, I haven't received a raise in two years and I imagine
many state employees are in the same boat. Raises here at SIUC go only to
the already highly paid.
