SSNIFF ?

Hello,
Does anyone have a reference for the SNIFF (spelling?) method for
quantitating the 2H/1H ratio for determining where something was grown? Any
reference/citation would be helpful. I remember the 'wine' talk at the ENC
banquet in Asilomar several years ago, and apparently this technique has been
expanded since then.
