Hello AMMRLers,
We have an issue turning on the heater on our 17 year old AVANCE II
console equipped with a BVT3000 and BCU05.
1) I tried swapping the BCU05 with one which was working on another
instrument, as that is an issue we've had previously. No change.
2) With heater off we have flow of gas but once we try to turn on heater
in EDTE the flow goes to zero (ball in flow meter drops)
3) We began trying to troubleshoot the valves (V1-V4). Each one
activates individually (each receiving 20-21V from control board) by
modifying the jumpers (JP6-JP9) which control valve state when heater
power is off. However, we did find some combinations (e.g., all valves
open; 2000 lph) resulted in error and no gas flow.
3a) We were thinking perhaps insufficient voltage/current or
incorrect signal sent to activate the valves when we switch to remote
mode (ie. controlled via EDTE).
Does anyone have experience with similar issues with BVT300 and
repairing it?
Does anyone have a spare BVT3000 they are willing to part with?
