concerning the softpulse question I forgot a detail, which
maybe is of interest for all AMX owners.
The phase of the ecoupler output is an (unwanted) function of
the amplitude. A few years ago, I measured this function for
our spectrometer and found deviations of about 30 degree over the
whole amplitude range. Due to this effect especially G3 and G4
pulses are of low quality. You can correct this effect, but this is
really time consuming (and dangerous, because you have connect the
output of the transmitter immediately to the receiver input; with
attenuation units, of course).
