POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
Solid State NMR Studies of Viral Fusion Peptides
This is an NIH-funded project to investigate the structure and motion of
membrane-bound viral fusion peptides. These studies will provide insight
into the mechanism of peptide-induced liposome fusion and ultimately,
viral/host cell membrane fusion. We have two 400 MHz solid state NMR
spectrometers available for these studies. The ideal candidate would have
experience in solid state NMR, along with some experience in biochemistry,
peptide synthesis, and/or protein expression.
