Dear Xu,
...earplugs? (sorry, could not resist...)
More seriously: The main source of noise in GM cryocoolers is flow noise
through the metal hoses between the compressor and the cold head. I
can't quite make out the manufacturer of the compressor from the picures
on QT's website, but a while ago, we were visited by a Sumitomo
representative. He said that they are now offering special "low noise"
hose packs. Probably quite expensive, but if noise is a serious issue
for you, maybe worth the cost.
Also, use the shortest hoses possible for your application and siting.
Shorter hoses are much quieter.
Best,
Matthias
